The happy month of May.

Here we are into May with 3 important celebrations to enjoy.

1) Our 51st wedding anniversary

2) Mothers Day. Pam’s 50th.

3) A very special birthday – Pam’s 75th

Though the two of us really treasure each of these occasions, we try to play them down with the family, immediate and extended. We failed badly last Sunday. Our immediate family arrived, wished us a very happy 51st anniversary, and without any fuss or bother established what will be the largest of our flower gardens. How about that for a very big and pleasant surprise? Photo pending – maybe………………..

With two very important days yet to come we may have to change to Plan B.

Top of the morning to you, not long up and now have both feet on the floor. Just couldn’t seem to prize those eyes open sufficiently enough to stay awake earlier, good to be able to lay in and relax after two very late late shifts. Have woken up to a very sunny and slightly windy day, and today is the day to put away the summer gear and out with the winter woollies. B. is waiting for me to get into action, so will leave this now and get back to you later… have an awesome day. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Reality has arrived. Winter is here.

  4. Oohh and don’t we notice it! Heaters on, electric blankets on, lots of extra clothes on….I don’t like winter!!

    • action2468 says:

The key to keeping warm in winter is to make full use of your own body heat, rather turning on power hungry heaters here, there, and everywhere. That’s my theory anyway and Pam’s now accepting my belief. Overcome feeling cold when watching TV or whatever with a blanket or a heavy dressing gown. Save power and save money – and worry. Ok?

      • I don’t seem to have so much body heat these days, will make the most of what I do have though..will try and generate enough to keep real warm…

Right on the ball. In winter when you leave your bed don’t leave the covers turned down, otherwise you’ll come back to a cold bed. The opposite in summer of course. Up in the winter and down in the summer.

I have to admit I cheat a little a little with turning on my electric blanket in time to warm things up before hopping into bed….

Being self reliant seems to be a winner in the long run. However, to each his/her own
